Basic Mandarin and Chinese Culture (3.0 credits，Burnaby Campus)
This is a credit course offered to BCIT degree students. CINT 1210 teaches students (who have no Chinese background) four basic language skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing in Mandarin Chinese, and provides basic knowledge of Chinese culture.
Chinese Studies (offered in fall and spring semester at Burnaby Campus, 3.0 credits)
This is a credit course offered to BCIT degree students. CINT 2222 enables students to have a good command of the essential knowledge of Chinese history and culture, and to gain some Chinese language skills.
Teacher’s training-Teaching Chinese as a Second Language (offered in spring semester at Downtown Campus, 3.0 credits)
This is a part-time study course offered to local Chinese teachers. CINT 2001 equips Chinese teachers with the skills required to teach Chinese as a Second Language in Canada.
Chinese in One Day (offered in fall and spring semester at Burnaby Campus)
This course is popular among students who participate in BCIT Student Ambassador Program or who are going to China for summer camps. CINT 0803 enables students to use about 30 phrases to express themselves around several practical topics in Mandarin.
Business Chinese / Chinese for Tourists (Dowmtown Campus)
This is a part time study course for the general public. CINT 1110 teaches students effective words and sentences that can be used by people travelling to China, as their basic communication in Mandarin.
