BC “Chinese Bridge” Mandarin Singing Contest – Introduction

 

The BC "Chinese Bridge" Mandarin Singing Contest for college students is held annually in sing_副本October or November. The contest aims to stimulate young students’ enthusiasm for Chinese learning and to enhance understanding of Chinese language and Chinese culture.

In accordance with the rules, all BC universities and colleges are invited to participate (non-native Chinese speakers). The competition is divided into two parts: preliminary and final. The songs performed must be Chinese songs, without limitation as to style. The preliminary round winners will advance to the final competition, while the finalists will compete for the first, second, third prizes and a number of individual awards. Special guests are invited to make the presentations to the winners in the award ceremony.

The BC "Chinese Bridge" Mandarin Singing Contest for college students elicits a very enthusiastic response from BC college students. The contest has also attracted the attention of Phoenix Satellite Television, Xinhua and other Chinese mainstream media. It has also created a stage for BC students to learn from each other and show their talents. Over the course of its history, the competition has been recognized and praised by a vast number of Chinese language teachers.
